Essential Qualifications:

Three year Professional/Five Years Integrated Degree in Law from a reputed Law College or recognized University throughout the country. Applicant should be a Law Graduate who has not started practice as an advocate or engaged in any other profession or vocation/service. Advocates up to 05 years of practice can also apply, but they have to surrender their license to the Bar Council before joining, if selected. Those who have appeared in LL.B. (Final) in 2012-13 Examination and are awaiting results may also apply. They will be required to submit their final mark sheet of LL.B. Examination before the joining. Computer knowledge i.e., Data Entry, Word Processing and Computer Operations.

Application Fee: Rs. 150/- through postal order or bank draft in favour of Registrar General, High Court of Uttarakhand at Nainital.

Selection Process: The candidates shall have to appear in a Shorthand test followed by an interview wherein the general suitability as well as proficiency in computers will be assessed. Shorthand test shall be of 100 marks and interview will be of 10 marks. The permissible mistakes in shorthand test shall be to the extent of 6% only. The Candidates who qualify the shorthand test shall only be called for interview-cum-computer proficiency test.

Age Relaxation: SC/ST/BC/OBC - 3 years; Physically handicapped - 10 years; Ex-servicemen - By number of years equal to his defence service plus 3 years .
